Working with Dawn is an INCREDIBLE JOURNEY, but not always easy.
"I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible journey I experienced with Dawn Charleston-Green's Rising Author Academy. Writing and publishing my book seemed like an insurmountable task, but Dawn's expertise and guidance turned the overwhelming process into a fulfilling adventure.
Dawn created a safe space within the academy that allowed me, along with other aspiring and seasoned authors, to navigate the complexities of publishing with confidence. As an award-winning author and a highly accomplished writing coach, Dawn's approach is both personal and professional. Her group and one-on-one sessions not only educate but also empower.
In Dawn's capable hands, I found security and encouragement. Her unwavering support and guidance led me through each and every stage of bringing my book to life. The Rising Author Academy isn't just a program; it's a transformative experience that allows you to produce a book you can be proud to share with the world.
Tea Time! So let's get into the tea about the Rising Author Academy and how it helped me. I'm going to give the good , bad, and the ugly. Not sure if there's any bad but you catch my drift, right?
Ok! When I started in the early part of 2023, I was still working full-time along with other responsibilities of mine. I thought that the process would be easy. I was completely wrong about that. I actually struggled. The part I struggled with the most was time management and staying motivated. I was actually shocked because I never struggled with either when it came to a goal or something I wanted to do. Many tests and trials came during this process, but with the proper communication with Dawn, along with transparency, I was able to complete the process. Dawn operated in love, grace, and transparency as well. It was a pleasure to work with her and I'm ready to start my next project.
A few times through the process of publishing my book, I began to doubt that I had something others wanted to read. I had been writing for some years, but when it was time for final edits, I started having imposter syndrome. Dawn helped me to break through that and realize that my experience was something that could bless someone else. She also helped me break past the barrier of connecting with my reader. At times I wanted to hold back, but Dawn helped me to see that in my vulnerability, I would give someone else the courage to confront what could be holding them back from being their best self. The number of women who have shared that they have begun doing their work because of what I wrote let me know that I did the right thing by agreeing to take a chance.
